A CARING Community

South Simcoe Youth Choir was started in 2008.

The children have appeared with many of the adult choirs in the area and have enjoyed aiding many community fund raising events such as the Grand Re-Opening of the Banting Homestead for World Diabetes day and a benefit concert for Habitat for Humanity.

Our Conductor

Nanette Seaman is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, where she studied voice and choral conducting with Dr. Doreen Rao.  While there she was the manager and soloist of the University Women's Chorus with Ann Cooper-Gay and manager of the MacMillan Singers.  She has sung under the baton of many notable conductors such as Robert Shaw, Elmer Iseler, John Poole, Robert Cooper, & John Rutter.  She toured with the Ontario Youth Choir working with Jon Washburn, Wayne Strongman, and Lydia Adams, and has sung with many other community and church choirs including the Amadeus Choir.

Most recently she was a soloist with the New Tecumseth Singers in their performance of Messiah and the Harmonia Choir's Summer concert series.

She was Director of Music at St. Andrew Anglican Church, Alliston from September 2011 to February 2014.

The  South Simcoe Youth Choir love to share their music with the community.
